Wunderdog Free Horse Pick 2/26/2012
Today's free horse racing pick is out of the 5th race at Aqueduct, a NY state bred allowance race for 3 year old fillies run at a distance of  6 furlongs.  The weather in at Aqueduct continues to be very warm for this time of year and the track remains fast.

Top pick # 8 Sacred Success is a real standout here as demonstrated by her 3 to 5 morning line.  She soundly defeated her rivals in her last out and it won't be long before we see her at the stakes level.  She will be piloted by top jockey Ramon Dominquez, Rick Dutrow's top rider.  The Aqueduct betting public sent her off as the 1 to 5 favorite and the "bridge jumpers" were in the show pool.

Take a look at the odds in the rest of the field.  Every other horse in the field was sent off at double digits!

The other race horses are not bad race horses and would all be competitive were it not for Sacred Success.

Our Value Play selection is # 6 Dyna Vision.  She went off a huge overlay of 23 to 1 compared to her morning line of 5 to 1.  A victory by Dyna Vision would certainly make a big difference in the overall outcome for February.  This is the kind of race that horse racing systems are developed for.

Unfortunately for us Sacred Success was as good on the race track as she was on paper.   She easily beat the field paying $2.30 to win and $2.30 to place.  The "bridge jumpers" live to bet another day!  Second place finisher # 2 Lenders Way completed the exacta paying $6.20 to place and $10.40 in the exacta.

No Wunderdog newsletter until Wednesday February 29th.  We will need a big day to finish the month on the positive side of the ledger.

Wunderdog Free Horse Racing Pick 2/25/2012

Back to Tampa Bay today for our free horse racing pick.  The 8th at Tampa Bay is a 6 1/2 furlong Handicap for fillies and mares 4 year olds and up run on the dirt.

Top Wunderdog selection #6 It's Me Mon is a real standout according to the Tampa Bay line maker installing her as a 3 to 5 favorite.  She won in wire to wire fashion last out and has worked well since then.

Finding the Value Play horse was made easy with the scratch of #7 My Pal Christy.  #4 White Merlot went off a 6 to 1 overlay to her 3 to 1 morning line.

It's Me Mon was first out of the gate and quickly built a 2 length lead that she carried to the top of the stretch.  White Merlot followed It's Me Mom to the stretch running her down in the final strides to set a new track record.  White Merlot returned $14.80 to win and $3.20 to place.

The Value Play profit for the day is $33.00

Live Horse Racing System Play Continues Today

Live racing on Presidents Day caused an unusual amount of dark days across the country on Wednesday.  With the lack of live racing Wunderdog did not have a free pick yesterday.  Today's free pick is race 5 at Aqueduct, an Allowance Optional Claiming event run over 6 furlongs.  The weather at Aqueduct continues warm and springlike.  The track is fast.

Wunderdog Free Pick 2/23/2012
Wunderdog's top selection # 4 Crossbow (morning line 2 to 5) is a lightly raced gifted race horse whose only bad start came in a 2 turn route race.  He is a much different horse sprinting as he is today.

Our Value Play horse racing system horse is # 3 Temecula Creek (morning line 5 to 1).  Temecular Creek is a crafty 8 year old veteran who won his last 2 against weaker.  Temecular Creek picks up Eddie Castro today and should benefit from a fast pace upfront.  He went off at 7 to 1.

As the race unfolded Crossbow, off a 2 to 5, got no pressure up front and won easily.   Temecular Creek looked good at the top of the lane but had nothing when asked.  The system play lost $20.00 on the race.

February 17th through 19th - Horse Racing System Produces 3 Out Of 6 Winners For The Week

To play the Value Play horse racing system click on the Value Play Horse Racing System link. The system is Free!! To subscribe to the Wunderdog free horse racing newsletter click on the Wunderdog link or on the Wunderdog banner in the margin.

We wrapped up our week on a positive note hitting 2 winners out of the last 3 races.  Unfortunately the winning horses were underlays to their morning line.

We continue to struggle a little for the month but if we keep focused we will turn it around.  Take a look at the past months (August 2011 through January 2012) results by clicking here.

Wunderdog Free Race 2/19/12
Sunday's race was the second at Tampa, a six furlong race for fillies and mares 4 years old and up for a claiming price of $8,000.  #4 Extra Fuse was the morning line favorite and scratched.  The Value Play selection was #7 Seeking Reason (ML 9 to 2).  Seeking Reason was restlessness in the gate but dueled to mid stretch pulling away at the finish under pressure.  Seeking Reason returned $4.40 to win and $3.20 to place producing a system profit of $7.00.

Saturdays complimentary race from Wunderdog was the 3rd at Aqueduct.  The 3rd was an allowance race for 4 years old and up run at 6 furlongs.  The Value Play horse was the #6 Quick Money, a Linda Rice owned and trained horse with C. Valasquez riding.  Linda Rice is of course a top trainer but is especially dangerous when she or her father Clyde own the race horse.  I have seen her get these horses home at nice prices over the past few years. Cornelio Valasquez is her "go to" jockey of late.
Wunderdog Free Race 2/18/2012

So the stars are all aligned over our Value Play selection and he did not disappoint, getting home paying $7.30 to win and $4.10 to place.  Once again I think we were a little "short changed" on the odds but we have to stick to the rules of the system.  Our horse racing system profit for the race is $18.85.

Wunderdog Free Horse Racing Pick 2.17/2012

On Friday February 17 the Wunderdog Free horse pick was out of Race #1 at Tampa Bay.  As usual the weather was warm at Tampa and the track was fast.  The race was a $8,000 claiming  event for 4 years old and up fillies and mares run at 6 furlongs.  The Value Play horse racing selection was #6 Riona, trained by Wayne Catalano and ridden by Pablo Morales.  Not a bad trainer/jockey combo!  Riona went off at 6 to 1 compared to her 8 to 1 morning line.

She raced evenly throughout the race and was in a good position at the top of the lane but had nothing left in the end.  She finished out of the money a disappointing 4th creating a $20.00 loss on the race.

Wunderdog Free Horse Racing Pick  2/16/2011
Today's free horse race system play is the 2nd at Tampa Bay, a $8,000 maiden claiming event run on the dirt at 1 1/16 miles.  The weather at Tampa Bay is warm and the track is fast.  Wunderdog's top selection #6 Coronado Charlie, is also the Value Play selection.  Coronado Charlie went off a slight underlay of 3 to 1 compared to his morning line of 7 to 2.

Trainer Jane Cibelli known for having her maidens ready second time out seriously drops Coronado Charlie in class and switches from turf to dirt.  Although not a serious challenger in his first start, Coronado Charlie is the horse to beat here.  Wonderdog 2nd choice #3 Baby Letters went off as a 4 to 5 favorite.

Coronado Charlie broke slowly and had to be steadied behind rivals early before looping 5 wide and finished strong outside to just miss at the finish.  Coronado Charlie paid $5.60 to place.  Baby Letters made a nice middle move but was out finished at the critical stages of the race finishing up a disappointing 4th.

Based on the Value Play system for betting we made an $8.00 profit on the race.  To pay along click on  the Value Play rules page link for more details on this free horse racing system.

February 15th, 2012 - Eddie Castro & Bomber Boy Win At Aqueduct

We are back in action today with a race from Aqueduct and a race from Delta Downs.

Wonderdog's first pick is out of the 2nd race, a six furlong event for 4 year old and up maiden special weights.  Many of the horses in this race have been huge disappointments thus far.  None more than our Value Play selection #1 Bomber Boy.  Since changing barns Bomber Boy (morning line 5 to 1), he has been on the sidelines since October 7, 2011.

Today Bomber Boy gets Eddie Castro returning from an injury he suffered in mid October.  Unfortunately he went off as a 2 to 1 underlay.  Our Value Play selection comfortably won the race in a driving fashion by 2 1/2 lengths paying $6.70 to win and $5.20 to place.  Our system profit for the race was $22.75.

Bomber Boy & Eddie Castro Makes Their Way To The Aqueduct Winners Circle
Wunderdog's second free selection was out of the 1st race at Delta Downs.  The race was scheduled to post at 6:45 eastern, long past the end of the 2nd at Aqueduct illustrating the need or an online wagering account.  Our Value Play horse was #4 My Little Cher Amio (5 to 1 morning line).

Because of the late post, I had to catch the race on TVG (The Thoroughbred Racing Network).  TVG analyst Christina Olivares handicapped the race and made My Little Cher Amio her "check mark" selection.  If you have never watched Christina on TVG you should.  She is a very good handicapper and frequently picks and wins with good paying horses.  Her father was a trainer on the southern California circuit and he taught his daughter well.  To learn more about Christina go to the TVG web site.

Unfortunately Ms Olivares was not right today!

My Little Cher Amio who went off as a 5 to 2 underlay, chased the early pace and finished well in 4th place.  The top Wunderdog selection, #8 House Of Stars finished 2nd completing a $145.00 exacta.  Our system loss for the race was $20.00 reducing or daily profit to $2.75.  Not a big profit but we "live to fight another day".

February 12th - The Agony of a Weekend Slump

To play the Value Play horse racing system click on the Value Play Horse Racing link. The system is Free!! To subscribe to the Wunderdog free horse racing newsletter click on the Wunderdog link or on the Wunderdog banner in the margin.

We have hit a little but of a slump here as we approach mid month.  Keeping daily records of the Value Play horse racing system helps keep our confidence up during these loosing periods.  Just as we experienced small slumps in mid November and early December the horse racing system will bounce back.  Because the horse racing system seems to pay big prices after these slumps it is more important than ever to keep disciplined and continue to keep to the rules.   Review the rules by clicking on the Horse Racing Link,  If you need your confidence reinforced check out the past months results page.

Wonderdog Sports Picks emailed us 2 free horse racing picks this weekend.  One Saturday and one Sunday.

Wunderdog Free Horse Racing Pick 2/11/2012
The Saturday free horse racing pick featured Aqueduct race #4.  The 4th at Aqueduct was the Dearly Precious Stakes for 3 year old fillies run on the inner track at 6 furlongs.  Top Wunderdog pick was #4 Singlet, an Anthony Dutrow trained filly with a 2 to 1 morning line.  She went off at 8 to 5 and fought tenaciously in the stretch to cross the wire first returning $5.20 to win and $2.80 to place.

The Value Play horse racing system was an interesting play, #2 Lisa T (8 to 1 morning line).  It is not often you get a Todd Pletcher trained horse at 8 to 1.  By chance, TVG (Matt Carothers and Rich Perloff) did a phone interview with WindStar Farm's CEO, Elliott Walden who talked about his entry in the Dear Precious, Lisa T before the race.  He said that Lisa T was named after the WindStar's owner Kenney Troutt's wife, Lisa Troutt.  He also said that in discussions with Pletcher they decided they liked Lisa T's chances in the race because she represented lone closing speed in the race.  They both agreed that could be just as powerful a handicapping angle as lone speed.  Interesting interview.......armed with all this information, the best Lisa T could do was third.

The Sunday free horse pick, also at Aqueduct,  was race #2, a maiden special weight race for 3 year of fillies, run at a mile 70 yards.

Wunderdog Free Horse Racing Pick 2/12/2011
The Value Play horse racing system play was #3 Opalite.  Opalite went off at 11 to 1, a huge overlay to her 4 to 1 morning line.  The David Donk trained filly showed brief speed last out off of a 3 month layoff.  She looked good to the top of the stretch but was outfinished by her rivals placing 4th.

Total loss for the weekend was $40.00.  We are off until Wednesday when the next Wunderdog free horse racing picks are due.

Wunderdog Free Horse Racing Pick 2/10/2012
The 1st at Aqueduct was run over the 6 furlong dirt track for fillies and mares, 4 years old and up, for a claiming price of $16.000.  The top free pick was #1 Pretty Cozy, who went off at 9 to 2, north of her 3 to 1 morning line.  Wunderdog's 2nd choice, #2 Specklebird, 2 to 1 morning line went off as an overwhelming favorite of 2 to 5.   The Value Play horse racing system selection was the #3 Tonigail.  Tonigail was claimed after winning her last out race by John Parisella and boasted a impressive record at Aqueduct's inner track.  She went off at a huge overlay of 14 to 1 compared to her morning line of 6 to 1.

The race developed into a 2 horse race with Pretty Cozy driving past Specklebird at the wire paying $11.00 to win and $3.50 to place.  Specklebird paid $2.10 to place and completed a $16.20 exacta.

Our Value Play horse racing system horse (#3 Tonigail) ran 5th as we lost $20.00 for the day..

Our free horse racing pick today was the 6th at Aqueduct, a maiden claiming race for 3 year old fillies run at 6 furlongs.  The weather at Aqueduct continues to be spring like and the track was fast.

The Value Play horse racing system pick was #9 Mistretta (Morning Line 6 to 1).  Mistretta, who went off at 8 to 1 broke awkwardly from her outside post and raced wide throughout the backstretch.  When she finally settled down she closed willingly in the stretch and drove to the finish 3rd, well behind the front runners.

Not a good day for our horse racing system............Down $20.00 for the day.

February 8th, 2012- Our Horse Racing System Turns Positive for February

To play the Value Play horse racing system click on the Value Play Horse Racing link. The system is Free!! To subscribe to the Wunderdog free horse racing newsletter click on the Wunderdog link or on the Wunderdog banner in the margin.

Today's Wunderdog free picks are entered in race #1 at Aqueduct and race #1 at Turf Paradise.

The weather at Aqueduct was 37 degrees and cloudy and the track was fast.  The 1st at Aqueduct was a 6 furlong allowance contest for fillies and mares.  Top Wunderdog selection was #4 Mob Wife who went off at 1 to 5.  Our Value Play selection was #7 Fast Fleet Cat.

Fast Fleet Cat won at first asking as a $50,000 claimer last out and steps up sharply in class today.  She went off at slightly lower than her 4 to 1 morning line.  Mob Wife and Fast Fleet Cat ran 1-2 to the top of the stretch.

At the wire Fast Fleet Cat overtook Mob Wife just as  longshot #1 Mon Rose overtook both Wunderdog selections to pay $29.20 to win.  Fast Fleet Cat salvaged place and paid $4.10 in the middle for a Value Play horse racing system profit of 50 cents.

Race 1 at Turf Paradise was a $5,000 maiden claiming event run at 6 furlongs on the dirt.  The weather was 70 degrees, cloudy, and the dirt track was fast.  Top Wunderdog selection #4 Spectation went off at 3 to 5 compared to a  morning line of 3 to 1.  Our Value Play horse racing system pick was #3 Thunder Ali.  Final odds on Thunder Ali was 7 to 1, an overlay to his 4 to 1 morning line.

HOLD ALL TICKETS!!!
Several horses broke in a tangle including our pick Thunder Ali.  At the far turn Thunder Ali was moving well circling the field but, the bad start took its toll on our pick and we had to settle for third.  Top pick, #4 Spectation won the race although there seemed to be a bit of bumping by several horses at the top of the stretch.

For the 2nd time in 3 days the "INQUIRY" sign flashed in one of system races.  The 3 to 5 winner of the race bumped the #5 horse Ceburoco.  I watched the replay several times and the bumping didn't seem bad enough to effect the outcome of the race.

I was wrong!  The horse racing gods shined down on us and placed the winner to 4th position behind Ceburoca moving our pick #3 Thunder Ali to place paying $7.20 in the middle.

The Value Play horse racing system produced a $16.00 profit for the race and a $16.50 for the day. Our monthly total is back to the positive side of the ledger.

The February 4th free horse race from Wunderdog Sports Picks was the Florida Oaks run at Tampa Bay over a mile and sixteenth on the turf.  The weather was nice in Tampa and the Turf was firm.  The race was run for a purse of $150,000.

Wunderdog Free Horse Racing Pick 2/4/12
Wonderdog's top pick #4 Customer Base went off at 5 to 1, showed early speed but was never really in the race.

The Value Play System pick was # 7 Regalo Mia.  Regalo Mia broke her maiden last out on the Gulfstream track over a mile.  The second place finisher in that race was a next out winner.  The Value Play System horse went off at 8 to 1.

Regalo Mia broke mid pack and followed the pace to the top of the stretch.  At the top of the stretch she began her drive with the eventual winner Dixie Strike to her outside.  As I was watching the race I thought Regalo Mia had to pull up a little and dive though an opening on the rail.  Our system pick was out finished by Dixie Strike and was the clear third place horse in a 3 horse photo finish.  I thought we had at least a place finish. perhaps breaking even for the day.

Then I saw the "OBJECTION" sign flash.  The owners of Regalo Mia lodged an objection against the winner Dixie Strike.  I thought we had a chance.  However when I saw the race replay I really didn't see much.  The stewards agreed and returned the shortest decision I think I have ever sew.  NO CHANGE!

So at the end of the race we lost $20.00 to bring our profit total for the month of February to $19.50.  We have one more newsletter due out tomorrow to close out the first week of the month.

Wunderdog Free Pick Feb 3, 2011
Today's free race is from Tampa Bay race # 6, run over the turf for 3 year old $16,000 claimers.  The weather in Tampa was warm and the turf was firm.

Top Wunderdog choice #6 Macho Coach, a Gulfstream invader was sent off at 3 to 5.  Trainer Jim Divito sent this horse on a quick turn around and was clearly the one to beat on the grass.  Macho Coach stalked the pace and drove along the rail to win the race by 2 lengths.  Macho Coach returned $3.40 to win and $2.60 to place.

The Value Play, # 5 Captain Nightcap, broke his maiden last out at 5 furlongs.  He has had past success on the turf at Gulfstream and was sent off at 7 to 1.  Captain Nightcap also stalked the pace, bid 3 wide at the top of the stretch but could not match strides with the winner.  Captain Nightcap paid $5.40 to place and completed a $16.20 exacta.

During the race # 8 Whowhathow blew the first turn and was pulled up.  He caused no further problems in the race after creating a very dangerous situation.

Using the Value Play System to bet the race we made a $47.50 profit for the day and brought our monthly total up to $39.50.  Results for the month are detailed below.

February 2ed - Several Scratches At Aqueduct Today Leave Us With A Disappointing Favorite

The weather is cloudy and cool and the track is fast at Aqueduct today but the Wunderdog free race was riddled with scratches today leaving just 2 live horses in the race.  The Wunderdog free race was race 4, a $35,000 claiming for 3 year olds run at 6 furlongs.  The Wunderdog 3rd a 4th selection scratched leaving us #8 Ellipse and #7 Heiden.  Both horses went off at very small odds.

Our Value Play selection # 7 Heiden was piloted by Jacqueline Davis, a good hardworking jockey spending the winter at Aqueduct.  She can surprise at a price but today we get her at 6 to 5.  She is the daughter of former NY based jockey and current trainer Robbie Davis.

Jackie is just returned to racing after a mid January spill forced her away from Aqueduct while recovering.  In early December Jackie brought home a 39 to 1 shot Sandyinthesun to give her father his first victory as a trainer.
You can read about the father daughter story by clicking here.

This however was not our race as Heiden dueled for the lead at the 1/2 mile pole and was overcome in the stretch by the eventual winner.  For the day we lost $20.00 wiping out yesterdays small profit and more.  Hopefully a future Wunderdog selection will feature Jackie an a long shot!!

February 1st - February Is Off To A Good Start With Races From Aqueduct And Delta Downs!!-

After 2 dark days my Wunderdog free picks newsletter arrived at about 11:30 this morning with selections from Aqueduct and Delta Downs.  To get your free newsletter Click Here or click on the Wunderdog banner.

The Wunderdog free race at Aqueduct was race 2 where the weather was sunny and a balmy 58 degrees.  The race was run at 6 furlongs for fillies and mares, 4 years old and upward, for a $15,000 claiming tag.  The Wunderdog top selection (#2 Famous Rose) is a Rick Dutrow first off a claim (34% angle), first start after a 2 month rest (31% angle).  The NY betting public sent her off a 6 to 5 favorite and she did not disappoint, leading at every call and finishing 4 1/4 lengths ahead of her nearest rivals. She paid $4.20 to win and $2.70 to place.

The Wunderdog Value Play selection # 3 Estrella Vega broke right behind Famous Rose and followed her in 2ed place throughout the race.  She paid $3.40 to place and completed a $14.00 exacta.  The Value Play system produced a $32.00 profit of the race.

The second Wunderdog Race was run at Delta Downs (race 1) at 5 furlongs for 4 and 5 year old maidens with a $10,000 claiming tag.  The track was muddy.  These are not very good horses and often produce huge prices.  Top Wunderdog selection # 8 Kelaman was 15 to 1 morning line.  This situation is always difficult for me as that big morning line and top selection makes me want to forget the system and bet the top horse.  I resisted the temptation and stuck to the betting system.

Kelamon went off at 10 to 1, stalked the pace and although driving in the stretch could not match strides with the winner and finished 2nd.  Kelamon paid $12.00 to place and completed a $402.00 exacta.   The winning horse was not a Wunderdog selection.

The Value Play selection was #6 Rife Ruler.  Rife Ruler went off at 3 to 1 and although broke early he was no threat.  We lost $20.00 on the race reducing our daily profit to $12.00 on the 2 free Wunderdog races.  To learn how to play the Value Play System click on this link.  Its FREE!!!!!
